| Guess who is Cosmo's Ultimate TV Personality Womyn of the Year!?! Nov 5th 2011, 00:46   Kelly Rowland has been named as one of Cosmopolitan's Women of the Year. The X Factor judge, who is back in the UK after having to extend her trip to the US because of illness, was named Ultimate TV Personality, while Downton Abbey star Michelle Dockery was presented with the Ultimate Newcomer award at the event hosted by Fearne Cotton. The Ultimate Icon award went to Blondie singer Debbie Harry and was presented by Kylie Minogue. They joined guests including Tulisa Contostavlos, Amanda Holden, Karren Brady, Olly Murs and Alexandra Burke. Real-life achievements recognised at the awards included a gong for the sister of murdered teenager Milly Dowler, Gemma, was named Ultimate Family Girl. The Editor's Choice award went to Lisa and Louise Hawker for their work in campaigning for justice for their sister, Lindsey, who was murdered in Japan in 2007. The magazine's editor Louise Court said: "It always amazes me to hear the stories of these extraordinary individuals - we receive so many remarkable nominations for the real life awards, and this year we really feel that the lives and stories of our winners are exceptional." source | |
