Yet another foreign horror film to be remade for American audiences Oct 26th 2011, 07:20 StudioCanal is readying an English-language remake of the 2006 French horror film Them, and Variety reports that they’ve tapped commercials director David Alcalde to take the helm. The original film centers on a married couple who are terrorized by hooded assailants throughout one very long night. Adrian Guerra’s Nostromo Pictures is producing the remake. Guerra previously produced Rodrigo Cortes’ Buried, so he’s got some experience producing genre films. StudioCanal actually co-produced the original French version of Them, which was written and directed by David Moreau and Xavier Palud. Alcalde will be making his feature directorial debut on the project. He’s previously directed over 200 commercials out of Spain and Mexico, and won Screamfest with his 2006 short Happy Birthday to You.  Source
