Movie of the Year Has a Release Date! Oct 28th 2011, 22:17 Entertainment Weekly is reporting that Warner Bros. has acquired director Steven Soderbergh's male stripper opus "Magic Mike," a comedy based on actor Channing Tatum's real-life experiences as an "exotic dancer" in Florida. "Magic Mike" features Tatum, Alex Pettyfer, Matt Bomer, Joe Manganiello, Kevin Nash, and Adam Rodriguez as strippers and Matthew McConaughey as their ex-stripper boss. The studio has set a June 29, 2012 release date for the flick, the same date that Tatum's untitled "G.I. Joe" sequel is currently scheduled to open. It looks like there will be plenty of him to go around next summer. Source
