Queen of my life, Lady Mary, is warning you about these spoilers. I said I was going to hold off on posting them until tomorrow, but these are really just too juicy for me to resist posting them.Spanish Flu sweeps through Downton, leaving Carson
[NOOOOO!!! Mary is going to be so upset!], Lavinia
[obvious.] and Cora
[slightly unexpected and could lead to a LOT of drama] very ill. Lavinia and Matthew's wedding preparations are thrown into disarray and
she catches Matthew and Mary kissing [PRAISE JESUS! Ok yeah, it's not great that Matthew is still engaged to Lavinia, but I love that we're getting confirmation that Matthew has feelings for Mary still.] and later takes a turn for the worst
and dies. Matthew feels responsible
[Lol. He would. You do not control nature, Matthew.] and is adamant that he and Mary do not deserve to be together
[UGH. So next series is going to be full of Matthew making sad eye at Mary as she is trapped in a marriage with her jerk of a husband.].
Anna tells Bates they should marry, but there is a shock in store when he's arrested for Vera's murder!
[SAW IT COMING]As O'Brien looks after a sick Cora and tries to confess her her past sins,
[omg, why would you confess and upset Cora when she is ill?] Robert kisses a smitten Jane,
[WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU ROBERT? MACKING ON A MAID WHILE YOUR WIFE IS DEATHLY ILL?] but she decides to leave as Cora rallies.
[Phew! Cora lives!]Ethel is pleased when she discovers that Major Bryant's parents ask to see Charlie, but when they want to give him a new life without her involvement, she cannot part with him.
[No1curr about this storyline.]Branson has got a job as a journalist in Dublin and Sybil is determined to go with him, but when he announces the news, Robert unsuccessfully tries to pay him off,
then later gives them his blessing. [WHAT. UGH. Sybil can do so much better. Branson is the worst. And it seems really OOC for Robert to be ok with this. Uuuugh. I think Sybil will decide to stay in Downton though or else she and Branson will both be off the show, and Brranson is going to follow his dreams and become a journalist. The show isn't going to follow them to Dublin.]A cunning Thomas makes himself indispensable by helping out the stricken household and Carson realises he cannot get rid of him.
[This is kind of a half-assed way to keep Thomas around, tbh.]sourcemod: I resubmitted with a different gif, and I know this one has been used before in posts, so it should be ok, yes?
